Reports to: 

  • General Manager
 Requirements: 

  • Maintain valid Massage Therapist Certification.
  • Experience working with Customers
  • Certifications, as local/state laws require
 Special Skills: 

  • Good communication skills
  • Must hold current massage therapy certification.
  • At least one year of experience as a professional massage therapist.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service skills
 Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for providing relaxation or treating body pain and discomfort through physical touch and moving a client’s muscles.
  • Provide a friendly atmosphere for members.
  • Meeting with clients to determine the type of massage they need.
  • Provide 20-60 minute massages to clients by appointment
  • Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most.
  • Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions.
  • Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body.
  • Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods.
  • Suggest future massage appointments and regimes to clients.
  • Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire
  • Know, understand, and follow all policies, procedures, and standards. Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager
  • Know club facility and services
  • Assist in all projects as delegated by club management
  • The above position may report to the General Manager.
