About the Role
We’re looking for a People & Culture (HR) Generalist to support the Director of People & Culture in organizing, executing, and documenting key HR processes. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across recruiting efforts, on/offboarding, employee changes, and comprehensive HR data management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complexity in a multi-location environment. You’ll help bring structure to our people operations and support the foundation of Fit Fusion’s growing HR function.
What You’ll Do
- Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes (part-time to full-time, title, pay, transfer, etc...).
- Prepare and route employment agreements, acknowledgments, and related documents through CareerPlug, Adobe Sign, and UKG Ready.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all required documentation is filed and accessible.
- Support recruiting efforts by ensuring interview compliance, maintaining structured and legally defensible selection processes, and providing guidance and training to leaders on compliant hiring practices.
- Track onboarding and compliance items, including I-9s, state-specific notices, background checks, and professional references.
- Audit and update employee data in UKG support reporting and clean up projects.
- Help document standard operating procedures for recurring HR tasks.
- Assist with employment verification requests, employee relations, workers compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Support occasional benefits administration tasks such as processing employee-level updates or adjustments.
- Track policy rollouts, handbook acknowledgments, and compliance postings.
- Provide administrative support for department initiatives and special projects.
- Other duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of two (2) years of HR Generalist experience in a multi-location organization (required).
- At least one (1) year of recruiting experience with emphasis on multi-state compliance (given preference).
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Flexibility to attend interviews/verify acceptable documents remotely on the weekend as needed.
- Experience with UKG Ready or other UKG platforms (strongly preferred).
- Working knowledge of multi-state labor and employment laws (required)

- Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets and digital workflow tools.
